Plastic model kit of a Russian combat helicopter. The Russian two-seat combat helicopter Ka-52 Alligator is a further development of the single-seat Ka-50 Black Shark. By taking in a second crew member - a navigator and weapon operator - the helicopter's capabilities were expanded. The prototype of the Ka-52 completed its first flight in 1997, and in 2011 the first series machines were delivered to the Russian army aviation. To destroy ground targets, the helicopter is armed with a 30 mm aircraft cannon 2A42 as well as unguided missiles of calibre 80, 122 and 240 mm and can carry bombs, cannon containers and other weapons weighing up to 2 tonnes. In addition, the Ka-52 is capable of using Ataka type anti-tank missiles with laser target search heads and combat enemy aircraft with air-to-air missiles of type Igla-V.
